VACANCY: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Vacancy- Quantity Surveyor 
Atlantis Construction is one of the leading Construction firms in Lagos and a sister company to First Equitorial Real Estate and Spectrum Facility Limited. We are seeking a skilled, reliable, efficient quantity surveyor to join our growing organization.

Job Responsibilities:
The preferred candidate will be responsible for managing the costs relating to building and engineering projects. This may include new builds, renovations or maintenance work. You will help to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget. From early design costs to final figures, he or she will seek to minimize the costs of the project and enhance value for money whilst ensuring that the project meets all legal and quality assurance requirements and regulations.
• You will be responsible for Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs price/cost forecast of the different inputs needed for the project
• QS will prepare, negotiate and analyze tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
• Qs will be responsible for tracking changes to the design or construction work, advise clients on improvement strategies or estimated costs and adjust budget projection accordingly
• procure or contract the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
• Measure and value the work done on site
• you will be required to facilitate Payment of subcontractors
•Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
• Select or source construction materials and keep track of construction materials and inventory
• Write reports.
• Identify potential financial or construction risks
 
 
 
 
Skills and Knowledge:
• Methodical way of thinking being able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

• Good financial and numeracy management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
• A clear understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines
• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction engineering, management, or related field
• 5 years of general construction estimating experience, financial experience, construction experience, or related field
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to analyze financial records and apply data to improved results
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets; strong estimating and financial analysis skills
• In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry
 
 
Remuneration:
Gross pay – ₦150,000 monthly
