Job Summary: To review all internal processes, systems and policies and make recommendations to ensure the risk to the business is minimised to deliver improvements by advising, coaching and facilitating.
Job Description: Lead Internal Audit’s change initiative by implementing action plans related to risk assessment and annual planning, audit execution, audit reporting, staff recruiting and development, audit technology, and Audit Committee reporting
Lead Internal Audit’s annual planning process to develop the audit plan and ensure the plan is responsive to and aligned with the risk profile of the group and its subsidiaries.Meet regularly with the Audit Committee to report the status of Internal Audit’s ongoing monitoring activities, educate/inform the committee of emerging risks and/or exposures whether internal or external to the company that should be considered, and serve as a “thought leader” with respect to internal control best practices.
Oversee Internal Audit’s participation in critical business and technology initiatives and projects ensuring that audit’s perspective is effectively voiced, and appropriate controls are designed and implemented on a proactive basis
Perform and control full audit cycle and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.Verify and maintain internal control checks and records including assets tags to ensure safeguard of company assets.Serves as liaison for all external audit and regulatory agencies
Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.An MBA or master’s degree preferable
Minimum of 8 years’ experience as an Internal Auditor, Internal control Officer or Accountant in the financial industry or audit firm
Professional Certification; ICAN, ACCA, CISA, CIA or an equivalent required.Experience in writing internal policies and procedures and process evaluation and documentation
Good knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
Knowledge of a variety of reporting procedures, regulations and lawTechnology Proficient
