VACANCY: RESEARCH ANALYST

Research Analyst:

Key Focus – This role researches market trends broadly in the economy and links the information on its impact on our industry providing analyses of opportunities and risks, to help shape our general business strategy.

The incumbent should possess the ability to trade fixed income securities within the professional dealing community.

The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.

Descriptor
• Monitors equity, fixed income and money market, commodity and currency markets.

• Collects and disseminates information affecting markets in general.

• Determines implements and adopts appropriate tactics to implement orders and ensures equitable allocation of trades between portfolio managers.

• Devise and evaluate methods of collecting data such as survey, focus groups, questionnaires and opinion polls.

• Present their finding to Executive and clients through charts and graphs and other visual means to help them make better informed decisions about product introduction, modification and marketing campaigns

• Interpret the data they have collected, organizing this information into statistical tables and reports

• Create visual industry trends and of competitors so organization can predict how products and services will fare in the marketplace

• Measure effectiveness of marketing programs and strategies Key Result Areas Market Analysis:

• Monitors equity, fixed income, commodity, money and currency markets.

• Collects and disseminates information affecting markets in general.

• Looks for trading opportunities to enhance investment performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• First Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Market Reserch, Computer science or Related Field
• An MBA or other advance education isn’t required but its desired and an added advantage

• Certifications are voluntary.

• 5- 8 years’ experience in Financial services will be an advantage Skills and Competencies
